Our History

Charles L. Mackenzie was the founder of our firm and began to practice law in London in 1958. He was a mentor to many lawyers over a number of generations. He inspired his daughter, Cynthia L. Mackenzie, to study law and after graduating from Western Law School in 1987 and articling at Lerners and practicing at Nicholson Smith, she joined forces with her father to form the firm at Mackenzie & Mackenzie in 1990.

For many years, the first smiling face our clients’ saw was that of Karen Foster. After more than fifty years of faithful service, Karen retired at the end of December 2020. Her expertise lives on in the lessons she taught us here at Mackenzie & Mackenzie and continue to be recalled fondly on a regular basis.

We are proud to have provided legal services to Londoners for over 64 years. Sadly, Charles passed away on December 13, 2020. His firm is carried on by his daughter Cynthia, along with his dedicated staff of law clerks and assistants.
